In all the excitement at the start we forgot to ask teams to declare their running order, so positions have been assumed based on your predicted times (John and Harry both ran same time for team 2, so might be other way round). If there are any discrepancies, let Les Thurston know.
The ‘winners’ were team 3, thanks to Clare’s performance in knocking 7:40 off her predicted time – a fine advertisement for the Ladies Excellence course.
Teams 1 and 2 were not ‘genuine’ as they included last-minute substitutions with fast runners replacing much slower absentees, although Harry Clarke showed great potential running 4˝ minutes quicker than predicted (obviously benefiting from father’s coaching !).
