They think its all over....
It is now....the 2009 Mid-week road running league is over. We have had great participation from the Club this year, with 84 runners having done one more more events in the Mid-week Series, this is up from 64 last year.
If you did not take part and are wondering what it is all about, check out the details here, and its not too late to come along to the Mob Match if you want. Come along, run and support our individual prize winners (see below for more details).
Team results
Results for each race - both for teams and male/female finishers are available via the links on the right hand column. Overall results are included in the results from Welwyn.
Our Club has finished in fourth place overall, right in the middle of the 7 club division, so we will be staying in Division two for next year. This is the one position better than 2008! We will all need to attend the Tues/Sat speed training sessions regularly to see if we can earn promotion to Div 1 next year. (Alasdair: At least us men will! The ladies had some good 2nd and 3rd place results.)

Individual results
As well as a team competition, individuals are scored across the four races. Prizes are available in the various age categories. This year we have two age group winners and a 3rd place. Well done to those runners - check out the link to see who they are.

Club Championship Scoring
Three of the four MWRRL races counted towards the Club Championship (we can't score at our own race because a large number of us will be marshalling). Thats half the number of races required for a full scoring set of races!
Scoring is just as for all the races in the Club Champs - first runner home for our Club gets 50 points, 2nd home gets 49 points, and then decreasing by one point for each further Club finisher. Points are awarded separately for male and female finishers - so that's 50pts for first male and 50pts for first female.
Club Championship scores have not yet been totalled, but will be appearing on this site and the noticeboard very soon (day job and training allowing!)
