The Kit Committee is pleased introduce new running kit from two suppliers. It has taken some time to research suppliers and develop designs and a new logo; and there have been some setbacks just as we thought we were reaching completion; but the new kit is ready.

Why two suppliers? Each supplier offers a different cut of vest and the prices are different. All designs are suitable for racing and training and representing the Club. All keep our traditional green and yellow colours but add more modern styling and sport the new Club logo.

Sugoi - standard vests
 - top quality run, bike and tri kit supplier, based Canada, but European office
   for custom kit.
 - chosen for standard vests as less expensive
 - offers men's vest and a loose fitting women's style
 - small stock to be carried by Club; orders placed in groups of twelve as required
 - samples have been at the club through the summer

ChampSys - alternative vests + other garments
 - custom sports clothing supplier, US-based, but UK office for our orders
 - as used for tri kit for two years; more custom designs possible
 - alternative styles of vests: men's, ladies', marathon; and a T-shirt available
 - shorts to be offered, design not complete yet (will be black with some green/yellow highlights; three styles)
 - will not be stocked
 - can be ordered, with lead time of six weeks, in mixed groups of ten items.
   (slightly more expensive due to this flexible ordering and full custom printing)
 - very limited sample set available at the moment - one each of two styles (see notes below)

IMPORTANT
Many of you (approx 70!) have put your names on the list for ordering a new vest. If you want to change from ordering a Sugoi vest to an alternative item, please contact Kathy immediately - Sugoi order will be placed by Monday 24th Oct kathryn_l_chapman@hotmail.com ChampSys order will be going out end Oct/early Nov.

- this is the ladies' vest that Kathy has taken requests for already

Alternative Ladies vest (ChampSys, £27.50)
- different style, more fitted
- side and back top middle panel is cooler mesh style material
- one ladies M sample available (contact Alasdair)




Alternative men's vest (ChampSys, £27.50)
- different style, slightly longer in body than Sugoi vest
- as per style of Peter Winfield's Stortford Tri vest
  (as a size guide, his is an XL => they come out a little smaller than size suggests)




This design is still being developed. Plan is to add a tapering yellow stripe as per sketch below.




Men's 'marathon' vest (ChampSys,£27.50)
- very lightweight fabric
- relatively short in body
- maybe more suited to hot summer 10K?
- one small sample available (contact Alasdair)




T-shirt (ChampSys, £34.95)
- technical wicking fabric
- for casual wear or for racing
- will also become available in long sleeve (£38.70)
