Bishops Stortford Running Club organizes two annual open events. The 'Stortford 10' and the 'BSRC Charity Fun Runs'.

Stortford 10

The Stortford 10 has been a premier event in the UK road running calendar since the early 1980's and is widely acknowledged as one of the biggest ten mile races in South East England at it's time of year.

Two events, one day - Sunday June 26th 2011 10 miles & 1 mile fun run, the choice is yours.

By popular demand the Stortford 10 mile race is back. It is accompanied by the Stortford 1 mile fun run.

Bishop's Stortford Fun Run

The annual 1 mile, 2 mile and 4 mile Fun Run and School Challenge Trophy will take place on 25th September 2011 at Grange Paddocks, full details here.

All runners that complete the course will have a commemorative medal. There is also the team trophy in the 4 mile run, and for the 5th year we also have a 2 mile run, ideal for school years 7-13.

Please note for the one mile run, information will be sent to the schools. However if you are unsure that your child's school will field a complete team or you wish to secure their place now then please send in the individual form attached with your child's school filled in. We will enter them together with other entries from the same school. Please indicate their school year from this September.

The one mile race is divided into two competitions. Infants (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 - KS1) and Juniors (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 - KS2) with separate trophies and individual prizes for the 1st three girls and boys.

The Juniors (KS2) starting at 2.00 pm and the infants (KS1) starting at 2.15 pm.

The 2 mile run will be a school team competition and individual prizes for the first 3 girls and boys, and will start together with the 4 mile race at 2.30 pm (after the infants race has finished).

The 4 mile run is an open event with teams where the winner takes all, but all have fun.
